About Me
I am Steve and I am a travel broker based in Kaiapoi but originally from Southampton in the UK.
My career has been spent in the travel industry helping people and booking their holidays to countries around the world and more locally.
I find it fun talking about places I have been to and sharing and chatting about what I have learned from different countries and cultures around the world, of which I have been to over 30 and rising!
With a computer in front of me, I aim to use travel systems and suppliers to the maximum to get you great cost and added value benefits and always try to find options you would never have thought to surprise and delight!
I have an encyclopaedic knowledge of flight routes and hotel options in cities worldwide and have flown on the majority of the world’s airlines at one time or another. I try to bring this knowledge to you and give impartial advice tailored to your needs.
My experience has covered long-haul tailor-made travel, multi-stop itineraries, cruise (ocean and river), student travel, and self-drive, and I also have great knowledge of motorhomes after working for Maui campervans for several years. I worked here during the rugby world cup and used my knowledge of especially French but also German to help people out in these different languages!
Outside of work I enjoy sports, I play and coach cricket for Kaiapoi and swim regularly to keep active and follow Arsenal FC occasionally getting up in the early hours to watch them play on TV.
I love spending time with my family and two boys Sean and Ari and seeing them grow into interesting young men. I have shared my travel bug with them, and both have been to a few different countries now. Sean had been to the Gold Coast, Tahiti and Europe before he was 1!! Sean wants to be an airline pilot, and Ari wants to be an “explorer”!
