Avis will accept a passport or driver's license if it contains a photo, a national identity card or any other form of government-issued identification. - Proof of address may also be required - This could include a recent utility bill or bank statement. Driver's license will not be accepted as proof of address. - Any additional drivers must meet the same requirements. - Reservations must be made 2 days in advance. Age Requirements: - Minimum 25 years of age. The renter must be over 25 years old to rent standard cars in Ireland. The renter must have been eligible to hold a valid driving licence for 8 years of which 2 years must be at a full driving licence qualification. Additional Driver Requirements: - There is an additional fee for authorised additional drivers. This is to be paid directly to Avis at the time of rental.
