The Most Popular Destinations Our Clients Travelled to in 2019

By December 10, 2019News

With 2020 just around the corner, we’ve dug through our records for 2019 (with some help from our friends at Expedia) to find out which destinations saw the most bookings.

5. Sydney

Sydney covers all the bases! There’s arts, culture, history, food and wine, shopping, nightlife, beaches, and major events throughout the year and with a 3ish hour flight time from Auckland, you be there before you know it!

We recommend: Vivid Sydney is a spectacular festival from Late May to Mid June. Featuring massive public lighting exhibitions it’s a jaw-dropping experience. Check out a highlight reel here!

4. London

London is the entry point for most Kiwi travellers and the start point for the many UK and European tours. However, don’t neglect to spend a few days pre or post your plans in London seeing the sights.

We recommend: Find yourself a cosy spot in an old English pub for lunch or dinner.

3. Gold Coast, Australia

Sunshine? Check! (in fact, they have an average of 300 days of sunshine a year!) Beach? Check! Shopping? Check! No matter your age, the Gold Coast will have something that appeals

We recommend: Spend a day or two at the theme parks. They’re perfect for all ages (especially the kids at heart!)

2. Bali

Pamper yourself with a traditional Balinese massage, shop til you drop, or just chill out and watch the sunset… or do all of the above!

We recommend: If you’re planning to travel around March/April check your travel dates carefully. Nyepi, the Balinese ‘Day of Silence’ often falls around this time. During Nyepi the whole island will come to a halt and guests will be asked to stay in their hotels as no one is allowed into the streets.

1. Fiji

The island escape is a no-brainer during winter and we send far more people to Fiji than any other Island in the South Pacific. With a roughly three hour flight time from Auckland, you’re on the beach in no-time.

We recommend: The Yasawas are spectacular if you really want to get away from the usual tourist areas.

Also Popular: Singapore, Rarotonga & Melbourne
